Winter Sports in Manchester

Regular price $0.00

Description

With winter days just ahead, enjoy a look back at winter sports as they develop in Manchester-and-the-Mountains from the Victorian era through the 1980s, from snowshoeing to skiing and snowboarding. Manchester even hosted dog-sled racing at the 1936 Winter Carnival! Shawn Harrington, curator of MHS, will describe how Manchester evolved from a 19th century summer destination into a modern four-season resort.

This program is offered in collaboration with the Manchester Historical Society. This is a free program, however, please register so that we may send you the Zoom link.
