Gloria Palmer
Executive Director
Gloria is GMALL’s executive director, a watercolor artist, a certified pickleball instructor and active in the community. A Brooklyn native, she has lived in Vermont since 1974.

Liz Berard
Assistant to the Executive Director
Liz’s career background includes work as a travel agent and market research assistant. She has worked for GMALL since 2014 and lives in Dorset. She is a member of a local bell choir and an area book group.

Ellen Agress
President
Ellen is an attorney who was a litigator in private and public interest practice and then served in the law departments of both NBC and 21st Century Fox until she retired in 2017. Ellen and her husband have owned a home in Manchester for over 20 years. She currently also serves on the Board of Grateful Hearts Manchester and on Board Committees at the Dorset Field Club.
Susan Borden
Vice President
Susan is a retired high-tech and pharma venture portfolio manager. She lives in Bennington, has served on the Boards of Common Cause, Bennington College, the Neurosciences Research Institute, and the Manchester Music Festival, and is currently Deputy Chairman of the Modern Money Lab.
Tim Carry
Treasurer
Tim recently retired from a 40+ year carreer in television marketing, program development and distribution with NBC, 21st Century Fox and Sony Pictures Entertainment. He has served as Chairman of the Parks Commission for the village of Montebello, NY and on various trade boards and industry foundations. He lives in Peru, VT with his wife, Jean and their dog Cooper.

Claudia Burns
Claudia worked in wine importing for several years before transitioning to education administration, first at Johns Hopkins University and then Connections Education. A native Vermonter, Claudia was delighted to move back to Manchester with her husband in early 2022. She volunteers with Grateful Hearts, is on the Manchester Village Design Review Board, and enjoys being outdoors as much as possible, gardening, hiking, birding, and cross country skiing.
John Kress
John is Distinguished Scientist and Curator Emeritus at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, where he served as Under Secretary for Science at the Institution. He is a tropical ecologist and has conducted research around the world. Now as a full time resident of Dorset, John believes that working at the local level can have a profound impact on global biodiversity protection. He has published many scientific and popular papers as well as a dozen books.

Cathy Rano
Cathy resides in East Dorset with her husband and two dogs. Previously she lived in NYC and was an executive in the Fashion Industry both retail and wholesale.
Judie Robbins
Judie had her own TV location company in New York City for 18 years. She is now retired, living in Manchester and enjoying her nine grandchildren.
Alan Stoga
Alan Stoga is Chairman and CEO of the Tällberg Foundation, domiciled in Sweden and operating globally. He spent much of his career providing geopolitical, economic, and communications consulting services to multinationals and governments around the world, including many years collaborating with Dr. Henry Kissinger. He and his wife, Gloria Gilbert Stoga, live in Dorset and NYC.
