The Election Year Economy – Facts and Issues

Regular price $22.00

Description

This election year the state of the economy will no doubt be an issue. So how is it doing? What are the issues that could be most problematic? In this presentation we take a look at the trends over recent years and then identify what could go wrong or right in 2024. We ask – amongst other things – what is the outlook for jobs, wages, trade, and interest rates this year?

GUEST INSTRUCTOR:
Peter Radford is the publisher of The Radford Free Press, a blog on economics covering contemporary issues and the state of economic theory. More broadly, he is also a writer and consultant on economics and business theory. He is a cofounder and serves on the executive committee of the World Economics Association.

The talk will take place on Tuesday, March 26 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the Manchester Community Library, and also online via live stream.
