Collage Art Class
Description
Collage is a very forgiving and easy to learn medium. Part of the fun is collecting images and papers that appeal, and then using them to make a very individual work of art. The class will start with a brief introduction to surfaces and types of papers to work with, and glues (dry and wet ones), followed by a short primer on basic principles of composition. The first collage will begin with a fun exercise to “get you out of your head” and into your work. Increasingly, as you work on your own pieces, you will develop your own vision. Students will receive a short list of “what to bring” after they have registered for the class. Lynne will have available a wealth of materials she has collected over the years. Snacks and a beverage will be provided. Enrollment is limited to 8 students.
