The rail trail is a flat gravel path that runs along fields, wetlands, and through forests, and hosts a diversity of bird species as a result. With this walk being held during autumn migration, we will hope to find migrating songbirds, waterfowl, and raptors, among others. We recommend participants wear sturdy walking shoes and dress for the weather, as this event will be held rain or shine. Follow VT Rte 315 for 5.8 miles, then continue straight southwest on VT Rte 153 (Rupert Rd). Continue on VT Rte 153 for 0.7 miles until you reach the intersection with Hebron Rd. The parking lot is next to Hebron Rd. He has led local birding walks and is particularly excited by those that occur during a migration period.
