Demystifying CNC (Computer Controlled) Woodworking

Come get an overview of the use of a computer controlled (CNC) router. This workshop will cover the basic CNC concepts, an introduction to CNC software (VCarve Pro), and the opportunity to make a simple project on Burr and Burton’s Axiom CNC router. No woodworking experience is necessary.

Jon Mowry teaches Woodworking and Design at Burr and Burton Academy. Jon returned to Burr and Burton several years ago to teach woodworking after spending eight years designing and building custom furniture and cabinetry with a partner in Landgrove, Vermont. Before taking this time to pursue his lifelong interest in woodworking, Jon spent 13 years in education, teaching science and math in middle and high school.
