Your last chance this year to learn what it takes to be a fungi awaits! We will be hunting for many mushrooms including hen of the wood, medicinal polypores, puffballs, corals, blewits, and so much more. As always, discussion will focus on safety, range, environmental factors, potential toxicity, and culinary applications. 

Please wear comfortable shoes for hiking the woods and sloping terrain. Bring a water bottle, insect repellent, and a bag for collecting your finds. Space is limited; pre-registration is required.

Ian Vair is a chef and owner of Chaga Moon, a web-based business selling products made from the chaga mushroom. He and his wife also sell their products at local farmers markets. His interest in mushrooms and the study of mycology began over ten years ago and has since grown from hobby to thriving business.
