Shakti Tribal Dance **CANCELED**

Date: Wednesday, June 13, 2018 Time: 6:30 pm-8:00 pm Location: Burr and Burton Academy Dance Studio  { MAP } Fee: $45 in advance

PAST PROGRAM

Shakti Tribal is a dancing meditation, which allows the mind to separate from the body while blending movements that follow the Roma Gypsy style. We will begin each class with a period of stretching followed by slow movements and increasing speed. Men are welcome, although this is generally aimed toward anyone who identifies as female as we will channel the divine feminine and do not have swords to dance with! This is a class where female energy meets and is supportive each other's intentions to grow spiritually and to slow the mind.

*REVISED schedule:

Class meets Wednesdays, June 13, 27, July 11

Mia Nassivera studied at Green Mountain College under Shakti creator, Susanne Dawn Claxton, who states:  "Any student of Susanne is considered a Shakti Dancer and can dance with other Shakti Dancers due to the improvisational nature of the dance!" Mia has performed throughout Vermont and out of state: including Yale's, "Hips for Hunger" benefit, Rutland's "Dancing Darkly", the Wilson Castle, and at multiple fundraisers for Rutland County Women's Network & Shelter over the years.
